Also the company tried to sell me another battery pack. They said that the “battery pack NB-2LH only lasted an hour and that I needed to upgrade , is it true that it only lasts an hour or where they trying to sell me something else. Thank you.
Sounds like you bought it through one of the ‘low priced’ on-line retailers. They offer the best price on the body, then sell you a load of overpriced accessories to make up the difference. Usually- the deal in the end is fair… but only if you really wanted all of those things. And- in most cases, you don’t get the ‘best’ accessories. For instance- instead of the regular (cheap- but not terrible) Canon kit lens, you got two Sigma lenses. Now- Sigma does make some good lenses- but these aren’t their best. And- to get to a decent 28mm (in 35mm effective) wide angle, you’ll need to use that wide angle converter they sold you. A cheap converter on a mediocre lens is certainly going to cost you a bit of image quality- and, it’s bulkier.
Depending on where you bought it- they probably wouldn’t have sold you the camera UNLESS you bought all the cheap, overpriced accessories.
sorry for the bad news… but- you got lotsa’ stuff. Enjoy your new camera. It’s a fine instrument. After you spend some time with it- you may want to investigate other lenses that may meet your needs better.
